Generally keeps its promises, but the after-sales service and the finishes leave much to be desired. If you ask me to do this again with Sunset, no, thank you.

In summary, the short version is that this is a highly proficient, organised, reliable and well priced building firm. I highly recommend Joaquin’s team. Building work is never fun especially if it is at your home when you live there but I must say, I was very impressed and disruption was kept to a minimum. The longer version. I first met Joaquin a couple of years ago when I first moved to El Valle. I wanted a significant amount of work done to my home. I was very close to giving him this work and it was only due to a building company being linked to the agents I was buying with which made me choose to go with another builder on that job. That turned out to be a total disaster as they cancelled on me days before I was due to get the keys with my family all set to move into the property a few weeks after. I ended up with another builder who tried their best but the result was poor and it took ages. I really wish I had used Joaquin originally. Two years later we decided to have a lot of the work redone as well as some other changes to our villa which required some significant disruption to all living spaces. I didn’t hesitate to go straight to Joaquin this time. He attended promptly and provided a quote quickly with a reasonably quick start time. As Joaquin is well experienced and an expert in home renovations in this area, he advised me of some matters I had overlooked and better ways of implementing my vision. I actually ended up doing a lot more work than I had anticipated but all within budget and with a finish which has totally transformed and modernised my home. I realised his local contacts were key in terms of securing the best quality materials at very reasonable prices and his team worked non stop. Joaquin had his own guys capable of doing everything, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, builders and even a guy to waterproof the house as we had a few leaks with it being an old house. The guys turned up on time, worked non stop and were all very courteous and polite. I believed we were going to have the guys for months due to how much work was required but they were done and dusted within 6 weeks and left us with what feels like a brand new home. During the build, Carlos joined the team to assist Joaquin with communication with customers as he is very busy. Carlos is a really nice young man who was very attentive and had a genuine desire to please. He WhatsApp’s me every day to let me know exactly what to expect and was here in an instant if I had any doubt or problem. Like all building work, there were a couple of snags at the end but they came straight over and made sure everything was perfect. I’m sure there probably are slightly cheaper options on the estate but based on my previous experience, I wouldn’t use anyone else, it was like clockwork and ultimately I’m delighted with the finished. Great guys, I thoroughly recommend.

Congratulations to Joaquin and his friendly professional team, for a project which was conceived by Joaquin and undertaken by a variety of skilled workers. The result is a first class renovation of my apartment. The journey was full of relaxed conversations and ideas as the project gained momentum. I have genuinely enjoyed working with Joaquin and team Sunset. I have met some talented men, from the carpenter (he is literally magic with what he can do! A real asset) , electrician, builders, wow, tilers, decorator, plumber, in house staff, (thank you Carlos for the aftercare) the list goes on. I purchased a very old property that had, had no upgrades in 20 years, we discussed the budget, my wants and needs, and meticulously planed the build. My children were also involved in some of the planning and Joaquin and team facilitated their enthusiasm and input and what would make a house a home for them too. I had several meetings with Joaquin and he offered a lot of time to me in those meetings to get everything right. I look forward to phase 2 and getting the outside done later this year. My Sunset Builders have been amazing. Completely transformed our holiday apartment. Joaquin and his team of Builders, Plasterers, Tilers and Painters have been first class. They have given us a new apartment. Very happy with their work and would defiantly recommend them to anyone looking for home renovations. My Sunset - Joaquin and his team are professionals in every aspect with customer service and expertise at the heart of what they do. We met with Joaquin to discuss a full renovation almost back to brickwork, he took time to work with us to develop our original ideas, agreed a budget and timeframes for work completion all of these were met fully … ongoing communication , videos and photographs nearly every day so we could see progress and he involved us in any changes to be made ongoing. The level of workmanship is very good and customer service excellent, I have had other projects in the past and this company are head and shoulders above all others !! We met a number of builders at our villa before deciding on My Sunset. The reason was simple, Joaquin visited and undertook an extensive survey, he offered ideas and suggestions to ensure the project would come within our budget. During this period he built trust and it was clear his structural knowledge was first class. During the build we found a couple of unexpected issues that My Sunset worked to overcome, keeping the project within budget and on track. On completion the quality of the build and finishing was excellent, beyond our expectation, on time and within budget. I would happily recommend My Sunset, Joaquin and the team to anyone with a building project that wants both quality and a team you can trust.

Another hassle free job completed. The waterproofing on our roof failed in a storm and eventually leaked into our kitchen. We asked Joaquin for a quote and he went into great detail explaining that the outside work needed doing to a high standard to ensure absolutely no further problems in the future. All workers turned up on time as arranged and the work was done with as little mess as possible to a very high standard, we can not recommend the roofer, the plasterers and the painters enough. Nice to get my ceilings fixed and feel confident that our roof can withstand the storms.

We recently embarked on an extensive home renovation project, involving a complete makeover of internal and external areas. The project involved a very large extension, additional bedrooms, new kitchen and bathrooms, along with re-shaping and movement of the outside pool and the addition of several new terraces. Following multiple recommendations and several meetings with Joaquin of My Sunset, they were the obvious choice to deliver this project. Joaquin & the My Sunset team went above & beyond to completely transform our home. They are a reliable, trustworthy & dedicated workforce. Joaquin in particular is an outstanding individual. He speaks excellent English, is exceptionally professional & focuses on customer service & delivering excellence in every aspect of his work. My Sunset managed all elements of the project, from initial design concepts, architect selection & liaison, planning submission, through to project completion. During this period, Joaquin’s project management experience & supplier contacts proved invaluable in guiding us through a very challenging process. We received regular updates complete with photographs of weekly progress which provided reassurance & confidence given that we are not permanent residents in Spain. The renovation was completed ahead of schedule & within budget. In summary, we would have no hesitation in recommending My Sunset & are absolutely delighted with our new home.

In summary - in our experience "My Sunset" is the best we've worked with. We asked for an office to be converted into an ensuite, a doorway to be moved, a complete new doorway made, glass "curtains" replaced with tri-fold patio doors, new tiling, inverter air-con units moved, solar panels installed and marble floor pollishing. During these periods of work we have trusted Joaquin to look after our home whilst we were away. We were kept informed of progress, and asked to confirm placement of moved items. On our few visits during the various works we found the home well looked after and in a very liveable state. Joaquin ensured that during our brief visits that we were not disturbed and that house was fully cleaned for our arrival. Our discussions with Joaquin have always been enjoyable. He has proved very flexible in accommodating our wants and wishes ...and he has contributed many great ideas toward our final plans. From start to finish we have been impressed by the speed and quality of the work carried out for us. With such an array of wants on our list of things to do it is inevitable that something may be missed ...and when it has been pointed out then it has been dealt with immediately. My wife and I have no hesitation in promoting "My Sunset" as a 5-star partner for any work you may have. ...And in Spanish ... Ha demostrado ser muy flexible al adaptarse a nuestras necesidades y deseos... y ha aportado muchas ideas geniales para nuestros planes finales. De principio a fin hemos quedado impresionados por la rapidez y calidad del trabajo realizado para nosotros. It’s hard to find a company to do any renovations right now but finding a company as good as My Sunset was a real bonus! MySunSet is without doubt a top-class outfit. While overseas I had significant work done on my casa and garden, and I couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome. Not only was the work done as agreed, but it was completed on schedule and within budget. I was particularly impressed when unanticipated structural problems arose; they were discussed with me, and simple plus, more importantly, practical and elegant solutions were found (Joaquin knows his onions!). Those of us who have worked with many contractors know only too well that unless carefully monitored they’re inclined to take short cuts (mostly inelegant), but that’s not MySunSet’s style. Finally, Joaquin and his crew are a joy to work with and Joaquin is committed to making sure all his clients are totally satisfied. Very highly recommended!

Here are just a few of the many hundreds of photos of the just a small part of the major interior & exterior refurb project done by Joaquin and his 'My Sunset' team, including but by no means limited to, two new balconies (his Sunset team have now given me the perfect platform for our sunsets!), re-tiling inside and out, new drainage, new doors, new windows, new glass curtains and bifolds, new electrics and outdoor lights, new breakfast bar and kitchen opening, walk-in wardrobe and much more - I simply can't list it all. And to think the whole project started with me just talking and pointing, then sending photos of the house with some very crude, childlike drawings of what I'd like! We cannot praise Joaquin and his team enough, the constant contact and photo updates when we couldn't be there made this an easy experience, something that you are a little fearful of as an overseas buyer when dealing with a Spanish builder for the first time. Every little bit of detail has been attended to, every request dealt with on time and on budget, and the quality of workmanship by his team is of a standard way beyond our expectations. We added a great many extras as the project evolved, and every single one was accepted and worked on without delay (or profiteering!) Post completion snagging (there are always a few bits and bobs) has been dealt with immediately and to the highest standard. I'm not usually a reviewer of anything, but they deserve this, so for any people in our position needing a small bit of work done, or a big multi tradesman house refurb like ours, you really should consider these guys - its been such an easy process. Thank you again Joaquin, you and your wonderful team have, quite simply, delivered to our family our dream house in Spain.

I contracted My Sunset to complete substantial works to my house near Murcia over Christmas 2022 and the New Year. During my life I have used builders in Spain and the UK. I can wholeheartedly state that Joaquin and his company are by a country mile the best builders I have ever encountered. The standard of work, the punctuality, communication and detail were very impressive. I was absent in the Uk when most work was carried out. His very effective communication skills made it hassle free. There were no misunderstandings. We received a constant stream of photographs on a daily basis. I have no hesitation to give Joaquin the highest possible recommendation to anyone undertaking work on their property in the Murcia region.

OUTSTANDING is what comes to mind about My Sunset. Joaquin has the knowledge required to do a full renovation as it was with our project. Joaquin and his team are excellent. MySunset company is truly wonderful and I’m speaking from personal experience, having had some recent work done in my villa. If you are considering having some building work done, it is worth having a look at their most recent project on Mosa Trajectum. It is construction as it should be; meticulous project management, resulting in brilliant team working, clockwork timing of stages and unparalleled efficiency. I believe that it’s all down to extraordinarily good project management by Joaquín. I’m posting this because I know so many people who have had bad experiences with builders (including me) and when you finally find a really good company, as I have here, I want to spread the word. It’s very heartening! Congratulations to MySunset! This is one of the (many) reasons why I chose this company to retile my pool. After removing the old tiles, there were a number of relatively minor (at least, to my eyes) fissures/linear cracks, both on the walls and on the floor. I’m quite sure that it would have been possible to superficially fill these in and I would have been none the wiser. (I expect that is what most companies would have done). But no, the two wonderful technical workers instead dug out a wide and deep channel for each of the cracks and filled them with a mixture of three elements - a fibre, a liquid sealant and a special powder - which together, apparently, make it super secure and resistant to any future leakage. I was mega impressed! Pure professionalism and quality work rather than a “quick fix”. I was very heartened by this and I have no hesitation in recommending MySunset, but not just for pool repairs but for all renovation work as I had already used them for multiple projects in my house as well as witnessing first hand the massive renovation of my next door neighbours’ house over the past four months. It seems to me that the whole team is absolutely superb and each and every step is meticulously project managed by Joaquin. And don’t just take my word for it; read the excellent reviews from others who also have had work done by them. Fast forward: Am I a happy bunny! This is the finished product. Judge for yourself. I cannot sing the praises of Joaquin and his company MY SUNSET PROJECTS, the whole workforce are polite,committed and extremely efficient. The planning from the start to the end of the major reform I had done was superb even though I was in the UK 95% of the time and left everything to them, from the planning to the end they kept me in touch with what was happening via emails videos and pictures. I really cannot fault this companies professional approach the work done was finished well on time and to a very high standard. Excellent five stars and more.

Highly recommend! As a property management company we need quick service to keep house owners and rentals happy! My sunset is very all round, we can call them for everything, air con, electricity, pool problems, broken shutters etc etc. and always a mechanic comes the same day to solve the problems which is very important for our company, so again highly recommended!
